Concrete mat foundation for San Jose apartment complex

Graniterock’s Concrete Division proves once again how it can expertly handle the large concrete pours common around the San Francisco Bay Area.

Every driver and truck in the Company was called on April 11 for a 3,800-yard pour at a San Jose apartment complex.

Total Graniterock concrete for Conco Concrete for the Lexington Avenue apartment foundation is more than 12,000 yards.

Concrete Manager Mike McGrath said the April 11 pour was a One Company success story as the Aggregate, Transportation and Construction divisions jumped in to help coordinate the work.

In addition, Graniterock turned to other concrete companies in the area to meet the trucking needs for the high volume day.

“We should thank Las Animas Concrete and Harbor Ready Mix for lending us mixer trucks for the pour,” Mike said.
