Local Company Supports the Troops
Help Them Call Home—Donate Your Used Cell Phones
Cell Phones for Soldiers is proud to announce that Graniterock has joined our program as an official cell phone collection center. Four Graniterock branch locations are prepared to accept donations: the Graniterock Corporate Office, the Wastonville Concrete and Building Materials branch, the South San Francisco Road Materials branch, and the San Jose Concrete branch. The Corporate Office is located at 350 Technology Drive in Watsonville, CA; the Watsonville Concrete and Building Materials branch is located at 540 West Beach St.; South San Francisco Road Materials is located at 1321 Lowrie Ave.; and San Jose Concrete is located at 11711 Berryessa Rd. in San Jose. Cell phones may be dropped off at all four addresses during normal business hours.
Cell Phones for Soldiers is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization that was started by two Norwell, Massachusetts teenagers to help buy pre-paid calling cards to send to our troops serving overseas. Started in April of 2004, Cell Phones for Soldiers has raised close to one million dollars and has sent more than 75,000 pre-paid calling cards to our service people.
In addition to calling cards, Cell Phones for Soldiers is now sending videophones to units in the Middle East and to their home base as well so that families are able to see each other as they talk. The phones and services are provided free to service people and their families.
The program will accept any phone model or make. You may drop off phones and attached batteries as well as accessories. The phones are recycled for cash to purchase cards or unlimited free videophone calls.
Please visit Cell Phones For Soldiers, or call Graniterock at 888.ROCK.100 for more information.
