Graniterock's Rock & Run in the A.R. Wilson Quarry

Graniterock’s ROCK & RUN in the A.R. Wilson Quarry benefiting the Aromas School will be Sunday, September 17, 2006 at 8 am. Both a 10k Run and a 5K Walk will be offered through the historic granite quarry. Please contact Graniterock for more information at 831.768.2063.

Rock & Run describes the unique experience that awaits you as you meander through a 106 year-old, operational hard rock quarry. This is a 10K Run or 5K Walk as you have never imagined. See the working quarry face, the ancient granite deposit, the massive equipment that processes it, and the natural surroundings, as you take the challenge of the Rock & Run in the A. R Wilson Quarry in Aromas.

Registration forms will be available at Aromas Day on August 27, 2006. Volunteers will be on hand to discuss how the school will use the money and where the course will lead runners and walkers of all ages.

Prizes will be awarded in male and female categories, and the Aromas School classroom with the most participants will receive a special class-wide prize.
