Graniterock Selected as the Business of the Month
Tour of the A.R. Wilson Quarry Caps The Day
On Monday, January 27th San Benito County Ambassadors awarded Graniterock the Chamber of Commerce’s “Business of the Month” award at a ceremony in the A.R. Wilson Quarry. Accepting the award for the Company were Martin Colmenares, Mining Engineer, A.R. Wilson Quarry, Keith Severson, Marketing Services Manager and Jim West, Research Development Services. The award recognizes businesses in San Benito County that are active members and supporters of the community and excel in promoting customer service.
The San Benito County Chamber of Commerce, established in l921, is currently 550 members strong. Its mission is to create, promote and celebrate economic vitality within San Benito County by providing resources to businesses and individuals. Groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, milestones and business of the month are just a few of the ways that the Chamber welcomes and acknowledges its members.
Graniterock was founded on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1900. Graniterock has operations in Watsonville, Santa Cruz, Seaside, Salinas, Hollister, Aromas, Felton, Oakland, San Jose, Redwood City, and So. San Francisco. The Graniterock Pavex Construction Division is a significant regional heavy engineering contractor building roadways, airports and private commercial and residential projects. Graniterock has also been the recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and the Governor’s Golden State Quality Award.
