Santa Cruz Fairway Top-Dressing Sand

Santa Cruz Fairway Top-Dressing Sand is produced at our Santa Cruz Sand Plant and is primarily designed for top-dressing greens although it can be used for fairways as well. It can also be used in bunkers to ensure consistency when golfers hit the sand onto the green. Santa Cruz Top-dressing Sand is an excellent choice due to its gradation, uniformity coefficient, infiltration rate, pH, and particle shape. This product meets USGA specifications for top-dressing materials.

The sand is mined, screened and then separated by each particle’s specific gravity using computerized water classification. The process is very effective in producing consistent gradations. It is also very successful in removing silt and clay. Upon completion of the water classification the finished product is extremely clean and uniform.

Santa Cruz Fairway Top-Dressing Sand is designed for easy installation, quick migration into the turf, significant infiltration (35.8 inches/hour), and nominal mower blade wear. It is also designed to support green longevity. The sand particle size distribution is created to provide optimal performance and eliminate layering. This product has been selected by golf course superintendents from Carmel to Eldorado and Fresno to Santa Rosa with outstanding results.
