Mann Elected Chair Of Santa Cruz Business Council

Longtime Local Company Continues to Support the Organization

Christopher Mann, Director of Real Estate Services for Watsonville, California, based Graniterock, has been elected to Chair the Santa Cruz Business Council for 2012 by the Council’s Executive Board. Chris served as Co-chair during 2011.

The Santa Cruz County Business Council is comprised of approximately 60 local businesses employing approximately 20,000 people and is dedicated to fostering public/private partnerships and advocating for business interests in Santa Cruz County.

Mr. Mann has been with the Company since 2000. He is a fifth generation Watsonville native and graduated from Santa Clara University. Christopher has been a real estate professional for over 20 years.

Graniterock was founded on Valentine’s Day of 1900, when its first operation, the A.R. Wilson Quarry, was opened in Aromas, and soon became a heavy engineering contractor. Its California Contractor’s License #22 demonstrates how long the Company has been in business. Plant and branch locations include Aromas, Cupertino, Felton, Hollister, Monterey Peninsula, Oakland, Redwood City, Salinas, Santa Cruz, San Jose, South San Francisco, and Turlock. Graniterock’s Pavex Construction Division operates from area offices in Redwood City, San Jose, Oakland, Turlock, and Watsonville, and performs large work such as highway or runway expansion projects, as well as commercial and residential projects. The Company’s Corporate Offices have been located in Watsonville since 1900.
