Aromas Students Win 1st Place In State-Wide Art Contest

The fourth grade students at Aromas School, in Aromas, California, won first place in a State-wide art contest sponsored by Graniterock and the California Trucking Association. The students were recognized for their original design illustrating a ‘Truck of the Future.’ The HOVER-TRUCK design depicts a vehicle that hovers above land and water, features power boosters, solar and windmill systems for power, and robotic arms. With their community in mind, the insightful and creative students designed a truck that comes to the aid of animals and people in emergencies, plants seeds for the farmers, and never runs out of gas.

Graniterock representatives will be awarding students their $600 prize at Aromas School on Thursday, March 20 at 12:45 pm Recipients include Libby Gonzales, Jake Roberson, Erik Jacome, Kael Simons, Javier Gutierrez, and Edgar Alvarez.
