Yuliana Camarena, 16, will use her algebra expertise to help other teens better understand the subject when the Bruce W. A recent partial depth reclamation (PDR) project on River Road near Chualar exceeded expectations on several fronts.The Monterey County rural road rehabilitation project, four miles in length, finished in five days instead of the anticipated six.In addition, the PDR team increased efficiency to recycle two miles of rural road in one shift, according to PDR Manager Dennis McElroy.The project team and crew members hit that production rate two days in a row.“River Road was a perfect ... Graniterock’s Construction Division saw huge efficiencies when building new concrete drying beds for Silicon Valley Clean Water in Redwood City thanks to the use of a laser screed.The laser screed, never used by Graniterock before this project, is a machine with an automatic laser control system to ensure an accurate level finish, allowing larger volumes of concrete than usual to be poured during each shift.Graniterock poured 2,500 yards of concrete in all for the water treatment ...
