Branciforte Middle School

New athletic facilities and “life lab” garden

The facilities include a new rubberized synthetic track with pull-up and bardip bars, an artificial turf combination football and soccer field, a natural grass field, two softball fields. Gone is the old, dying grass field full of gopher holes and trip hazards.

The project cost $2.1 million and was completed on January 9, 2012. The construction was done by Graniterock Construction Division and was paid for with a low-cost federal loan. The Wharf to Wharf Race Committee funded the fitness centers around the track.
