Graniterock is proud to announce the grand opening of its Monterey Peninsula Building Materials Store in Seaside. To celebrate the opening, Graniterock will host a barbecue lunch and store tours from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm on September 21, 2007. The new building is located at 1755 Del Monte Boulevard in Seaside.

The opening represents the culmination of the second phase of Graniterock’s business expansion projects, including new buildings in Seaside and Sand City. Graniterock now has a state-of-the-art, high-tech concrete batching plant, completed in 2006, and this impressive handsome new Building Materials Store. This phase included the removal of four out-dated buildings and replacement with one large, centrally situated building featuring a 12,000 square foot warehouse, a 2,600 square foot office, and a 2,600 square foot retail store.

The final phase of the project, a new design center adjacent to the Building Materials Store, is currently under way and is expected to be completed in 2008. The finished project includes the new Design Center building filled with interior finishes and dreamscapes using natural stone, and features exterior vignettes of elegant outdoor landscape solutions with extensive use of stone and other hardscape materials.
