Job Duties

Responsible for overall project management of both Private and Public Projects. Develop pay estimates; supervise staff, subcontractors; oversee scheduling; timely resolve project issues and extra work; negotiate with owners; develop subcontractor agreements; invoices; progress reports; cost analysis; forecasting; pre and post-bid analysis; perform budget analysis; manage public relations and customer relationships; oversee all project activities and management of resources; interface with other projects and parts of the company to achieve the overall best results. Ensure safety and quality on project. Support the Company’s nine Corporate Objectives and participate in meeting and exceeding Baseline Goals. Must be willing to work on any Pavex project regardless of location.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be willing to work on any Pavex project regardless of location.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, project management and leadership skills; ability to effectively plan and organize projects to a cost effective completion while building and maintaining excellent customer relationships. Ability to use Microsoft Excel and scheduling programs (Primavera, Microsoft Project) proficiently. Ability to inspire Pavex people to attain a perfect safety record and create and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Experience: Must have at least 10 years experience in civil construction, five or more years as a Project Manager.

Desired Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
  • Skills: Project estimating skills. Working knowledge of JD Edwards software.
  • Experience: 10+ years civil construction project management experience.

Other Comments

Must have valid CA Driver’s License and clean driving record.
