This technical note and the following data were developed from tests conducted by Turf Diagnostics & Design at Graniterock’s request.

RootZone
Turf Diagnostics & Design also evaluated Graniterock’s Santa Cruz Golf Course Sand for its suitability as a Rootzone material for California style greens. They reported the particle size analysis indicated our sand did meet the recommended gradation for California style greens in "all size fractions". They also reported the submitted sample had a "low risk of excessive water retention and good internal drainage". They further noted, "the main concept of California or straight sand greens is rapid water removal" and "this sample may be suitable for use".
