Three Million Accident Free Miles Driven

Graniterock Drivers Maintain Professional Driving Record

Graniterock’s Transportation Division has reached the three million-mile mark without a driving incident. Seventeen dedicated drivers of Graniterock’s highway aggregate and bulk construction material trucks participated in this important community safety achievement. This accomplishment was attained with trucks that travel daily as far away as central and southern California and into the San Francisco Bay area.

“I am proud of my drivers! One thing people don’t realize when coming into work are the things they may run into driving every day, especially within the Bay Area,” said Transportation Division Manager Denny Mahler. “To accomplish three million miles, in my mind, is unbelievable! It goes to show you that we hold safety as our core value and it really is based on a team effort.”

Graniterock holds safety as one of its nine corporate objectives and considers Safety—Before All Else as one of its core values. The company provides on-going regular safety meetings; continuing education and daily reminders that help keep safe operations paramount in the minds of this remarkable team of drivers.
