New Special District Representative Seated On LAFCO

Steve Snodgrass, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Pajaro/Sunny Mesa Community Service District was elected as a representative for the remainder of a four-year term to end May, 2012, to the Local Agency Formation Commission of Monterey County by the independent special districts in Monterey.

Steve is a 15 year resident of Monterey County, employed as the CFO at the Graniterock. He has over 30 years of progressively increasing financial experience. He is married to wife Gail and they have two sons, Tom and James.

He took the Oath of Office on April 25, 2011 filling the LAFCO seat vacated by Tom Moore, formerly of the Marina Coast Water District. Paul Ingram, Board Member and Treasurer of the Carmel Valley Recreation and Park District, and Mary Ann Leffel, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Monterey Peninsula Airport District, also ran as qualified candidates for the open LAFCO seat. Thirty-three of the county’s forty-three independent districts participated in this election process.
