Job Duties
Initial Engineer responsibilities will include completion of construction material quantity take-offs for future work using Agtek software. Project Engineer activities include: order and schedule activities and resources; negotiate with owners and sub-contractors; develop agreements, progress reports, complete invoicing, Track and analyze costs quantity calculations, spreadsheets, pay estimates, bids. Assist in supervising project personnel to include scheduling, conflict resolution, work hours, etc. Ensure safety and quality on project. Support the Company’s nine Corporate Objectives and participate in meeting and exceeding Pavex Division Baseline Goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering, Construction Management or related major.
Skills: Must have excellent communication, negotiation and time management skills. Ability to read plans and interpret contract specifications, demonstrated proficiency in Excel, contracting software and knowledge of construction equipment and materials. Ability to maintain project records, schedules and costs.
Experience: 2–5 years Project Engineer experience.
Desired Qualifications
Skills: Proficient in scheduling (Microsoft Project or Primavera) and Agtek software; ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment.
Experience: 5+ years Project Engineer experience.
Other Comments
Must have valid CA Driver’s License and clean driving record.
