Job Duties
Lead the RTS team in quality assurance testing, new product development and research to support the Company’s aggregates, ready-mix concrete, asphaltic concrete, and heavy engineering construction businesses. Maintain Graniterock’s leadership position in quality and customer excellence, developing technical professionals, representing Graniterock in technical industry groups and building professional relationships with technical leaders of public agencies. Develop and monitor annual Profit Plan and ensure achievement of approved Plan. Develop a plan for RTS annual Baseline Goal achievement and implement for results. Ensure that core technical competency is maintained while promoting individual professional growth and self-leadership. Provide technical leadership necessary to advance Company strategic business initiatives. Promote a safe working environment for RTS team.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
Skills: Strong leadership, mentoring, and verbal and written communications skills; excellent knowledge of quality control testing and statistical process control. Superior technical knowledge of PCC, and familiarity with construction aggregates and HMA materials properties and specifications. Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams to accomplish project and improvement objectives Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products. Significant participation in industry technical organizations.
Experience: 10+ years leading a Technical Services team in an aggregates, ready-mix concrete, asphaltic concrete research and quality assurance.

Desired Qualifications

Education: Master’ degree in civil engineering or related field.
Skills: Excellent presentation skills, experience writing technical articles for industry publication.

Other Comments

Must be willing to travel and participate in industry committes, professional training and meetings. Must have valid CA Driver’s License and clean driving record.
