Enrichment Day at Dilworth Elementary
Graniterock participated in Enrichment Day at Dilworth Elementary School in San Jose to teach the students about the Company, how important rocks and minerals are in construction and stress safety issues surrounding trucks and traffic. Team Members brought a transfer truck into the schoolyard so students could learn about the job of a truck driver and the challengers a big rig driver faces each day. The students also learned about various rocks and minerals and their role in construction. To conclude the event, they were shown the book, Engine Number Ten and got hear about the history of roads and construction in our region.
